A key event for the transport industry

From May 22 to 24 2026, Saint-Chamond hosted the French Road Transport Student Driver Championship, a major event dedicated to showcasing and supporting the next generation of transport professionals. At Jontrans, we were delighted to take part in this year’s edition alongside our industry partner Rubière Déménagement – Les Gentlemen du Déménagement, supporting one of the competition’s most demanding challenges: the general and professional knowledge multiple-choice test. 

A competition that highlights knowledge and expertise

The profession of a truck driver goes far beyond driving. It also requires strong regulatory, technical and professional knowledge. Held in the Roger Planchon Hall, participants faced a significant challenge: answering 140 questions covering a wide range of industry-related topics. This demanding test rewarded precision, preparation and mastery of the essential knowledge required in the transport sector. We would like to warmly congratulate Mylan Viscardi, Maël Mézier and Fabyo Cainiceanu, who achieved outstanding results in this event as well as Lycée Arcisse de Caumont in Bayeux, crowned French Champion of this edition.

Encouraging the talent that will shape the future of transport

This year, the championship brought together 74 young talents, with a record level of female participation exceeding 25%. This positive development reflects the growing diversity of profiles entering the road transport industry. For Jontrans, supporting this event is a concrete way of contributing to the future of the profession. Promoting skills, encouraging excellence and supporting the next generation of drivers are essential priorities for building an increasingly efficient and attractive transport sector.
