Extreme Heat: Enhanced Vigilance at Jontrans

-19.08.2026

Adapting our practices to high temperatures

At Jontrans, the arrival of extreme heat does not mean lowering our safety standards. On the contrary, high temperatures require us to adapt certain practices in order to protect the safety of our goods, equipment and teams

A tank or dry bulk container exposed to direct sunlight for several hours is never without risk. Depending on the nature of the goods being transported, rising temperatures can, in particular, cause internal pressure to increase. Extreme heat also places additional strain on equipment and drivers.

Specific measures in the field

  • To deal with these specific conditions, our teams adapt their daily operations:
  • Adjusting loading times and journey schedules to avoid peak heat periods;
  • Increasing monitoring of equipment condition and safety systems;
  • Paying particular attention to drivers’ hydration and rest breaks.

These measures are part of our overall approach to risk prevention and transport safety. .

Safety doesn’t take any vacation

These precautions are already part of our teams’ everyday practices. However, when temperatures get really high, it is essential to reinforce these reminders.

At Jontrans, rigour and vigilance remain essential whatever the weather conditions. Adapting our operations to extreme heat means continuing to carry out our activities under the best possible conditions, while ensuring the safety of our drivers, equipment and transported goods.

Even in the summer period, safety remains our priority.
